July 2009

July was a pretty low-key month, although we had a wonderfully busy Fourth of July weekend filled with a Carolina Railhawks soccer game complete with an after-game fireworks show, a beach trip and fireworks at home. The only other "blog-worthy" activities were Kamrynn's swimming lessons and Madison's 10th birthday celebration!!!

One of our newest favorite family activities is attending Carolina Railhawks soccer games. They are a semi-pro soccer team that plays in Raleigh. They let the kids onto the field to form a pre-game "tunnel" that the players walk through. After this game on July 3, they let EVERYONE on the field to watch the fireworks with the Railhawks players. It was such a fun atmosphere... kids were running around EVERYWHERE trying to get all of the players autographs!!!

Madi Turns 10
For her 10th birthday, Madi got to have a slumber party/sleepover! And then on her actual birthday we had a family celebration where she and Kamrynn received a joint birthday present... Miley Cyrus concert tickets!!! The girls were SOOO surprised, and SOOO excited!!! They couldn't wait for November to arrive!
