10 YEARS!!!!!

So back in January, Tyler and I celebrated our 10 year Wedding Anniversary. VERY hard to believe that we have been married for 10 years... where in the world does the time go?!?!?! But I guess that must be a good thing then, right??? For spending 10+ years (if you count the couple years we were together in high school) with the same person would have to consist of more good than bad in order for it to "fly by"!!!!

Tyler and I were fortunate enough to have my Dad out here visiting during our anniversary weekend.... so off we went to Myrtle Beach for a couple nights! This was the first time we had been away from all three kids for such an extended length of time. Our weekend didn't exactly start out that way we had imagined. We drove around Myrtle Beach for over 2 hours hungry, tired and frustrated trying to find our hotel. No one had told us that Myrtle Beach is broken up into like a gazillion sections w/ at least one trillion 13th streets, Main Streets, 28th streets, etc. I think we drove to every "12th St" - where our hotel was SUPPOSED to be - except the one ours was at. We seriously almost turned around and headed home... but we FINALLY made it. We had a nice Saturday afternoon of shopping (sans kids), going to the movies, and taking a walk on the beach. That was perhaps the best part of the weekend... the walk on the beach, where Tyler surprised me with not only this....

He picked it out all by himself!! He was quite proud... and so was I! :-)

...but another proposal. Since we didn't do things the "traditional way", he decided there was no better time than our 10 year anniversary to finally propose. Of course I was in tears and the moment was spoiled (but made all the more memorable) by some onlookers in a hotel balcony yelling first "DON'T DO IT", and then coming out and cheering/clapping. Afterwards we went and had a very nice, quiet dinner at an adorable rustic Steakhouse.

Sunday morning we headed home and stopped at a very cute little winery, had a tour and did a little taste testing.

A couple of views from our room...

We had a wonderful weekend together... Grandpa and the kids survived, so did we, and we realized that we need to get away together a little more often!!! Here's to another 10 years to my husband, amazing father of my children, and my absolute best friend.

Oh, I LOVE this! Way to go Tyler, what a beautiful ring and opportunity! You're a very lucky couple to still see things so positively after 10 years.
